News: Medal of Honor Fallen Angel Multiplayer Trailer [HD]
In part one of EA's Medal of Honor experience video series, titled Fallen Angel, there's a great deal of running, shooting, exploding, and colorful language. Last week at Gamescom, Crecente got to play through a level of Medal of Honor flying a gunship. Now EA lets us explore the more down-to-earth aspects of the title's gameplay, running and shooting.
I've done so much running and shooting in my lifetime that it's hard to distinguish one from the other. It would be an interesting experiment to strip the UI elements from the latest five or six modern-day military shooters and see if the uninitiated could tell the difference. The be completely honest, I might be hard-pressed.
Now show me what happens when a player dies in each game, and I become Mr. Wizard. I am a connoisseur of first-person shooter death. My mother always told me to find something I am good at and stick with it.

News: Call of Duty: Black Ops getting Zombie Map Packs
Best Buy product page reveals undead details about the four extra maps in the Hardened and Prestige editions
Yesterday, Activision announced the price and contents of the special Hardened and Prestige editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops. Both editions are set to include four extra multiplayer maps. But if you check the product pages on Best Buy’s website, you’ll find extra undead details about these four maps.
“Four Zombie Maps Pack made famous from COD: World at War,” reads the description on the page. Sounds like the zombie mode will be returning. If it’s true, we don’t really like the idea of exclusive multiplayer maps in the extra expensive collector’s editions. What say you? Will you be buying the Hardened Edition for $79.99 or the Prestige Edition with the remote controlled car for $149.99?

EA issuing pre-order refunds for Battlefield 1943 PC, release date still unknown
Quote:
Yesterday, it was reported EA was issuing refunds to those who pre-ordered Battlefield 1943 on PC.
Today, we received confirmation from EA it is indeed issuing refunds to those who request it.
According to a source close to Examiner, a refund was requested on a Battlefield 1943 pre-order, and customer service told the purchaser the game would be released on July 9.
However, once July 9 came and went, the user was given a “no questions asked” refund by EA.
We contacted EA to verify this, and to see if it had a date for the long-awaited PC version of the game.
This is what we were told by an EA representative: “All pre-orders can be canceled with refund at anytime and we do not have any further information at this time about a release date for the PC version of Battlefield 1943.”
